Course Overview

This nationally recognised qualification prepares technicians to become authorised MOT testers for cars and light commercial vehicles. The program covers DVSA inspection procedures, the MOT Testing Service platform, pre-test documentation, fault identification, and workplace safety protocols.

Next Steps

Entry Requirements

• Minimum age 18 years
• Full UK driving licence (Classes 4 and/or 7)
• Minimum 4 years full-time hands-on mechanical experience in servicing/repairing relevant vehicle types
• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification OR valid IMI Light Vehicle Inspection Technician Accreditation
• No unspent criminal convictions for dishonesty, serious motoring offences, or suspension from MOT testing
